There’s a little vegetable garden at home, where Grandpa grows green onions, chives, cilantro, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, and winter melons. The garden is where Mai and her little sister play every day.

One day, bugs appeared in the garden and Mai bravely followed Grandpa to fight them off. After going home, she exclaimed that she wanted to draw a caterpillar.
Her "free-style" caterpillar was completed in no time, because there was a time when Mai would pick up a pen to draw circles even if they weren't round! But she still gave her caterpillar eyes, a nose, a mouth and even little hands.
